For whatever Ails you ...

In this current repressed economic climate of today many of us are finding the cost of prescription drugs; doctors visits and/or seeking out the appropriate pharmacy remedies can be inhibitive cost-wise. With the Pharmaceutical companies and Doctors getting richer it would seem, while the 'Average Joe Blog' (excuse the pun! lol), gets poorer; simply because we haven't realized yet that there are many effective natural alternatives that we can turn to also. With the evidence growing daily that many of these drug based treatments simply suppress the symptoms rather than deal with the cause. With the result of many simply tending to resort to attempting to 'rough it out' on their own during any temporary wobble in their health status.

Yet Mother Nature is a very clever Lady! :-) She provides everything naturally that we could ever require, and more; (and often before we realize we require it at all, until a need arises to cause us to start to look around and question), towards maintaining and supporting optimum good health and vitality levels! Much of which can either been grown in our own gardens easily or the ingredients obtained very cost-effectively to make our own combat remedies. Some examples being Herbal teas and tinctures ... And who hasn't already experienced at some time the health promoting and soothing qualities as part of a recovery process from colds and flu of hot lemon and honey drinks? Or a combination of Garlic, raw onions and honey to alleviate the symptoms of coughs and chest congestion. Slipper elm for allergies; salt gargles for sore throats; parsley for sweet breath as well as the cleaning and detox qualities of herbals teas, etc. Many of these recipes we have grown up with as recommended and used within our family's, so we 'know' they are tried and true, don't we? :-)

Between us, we will each have at least one experience of a health enhancing tip to offer ... Together we can grow RICH in information for increasing all aspects of the quality of our lives and feelings of well-being, without breaking the bank! So let the sharing begin; I say! :-) Thank you!!

Snake grass, "I think?", I didn't harvest any.

Kava Kava

A mild calming effect is the reason Kava Kava is so popular. I found my anxieties drift away and are replaced by calmness. This tea doesn't get you stoned or high, which some people like to rumor around.
Kava Kava is a mild drink for relaxing and getting the mind to relax. Wonderful tea.
Here is a site I found on the subject.
